TRADITIONS PAINT AND GLOBAL BLENDING. Go to the support forum and read my announcement about this new way of using the paint. It's a winner as far as I am concerned

I hope you will all enjoy my new interactive website. If you wish to ask a question about a design or painting technique, please use the chatbox on the left. If you wish to join my forum to read posts about previously asked questions, or to chat with others who are registered, please register in the support forum. If you are just looking or shopping, there is no need to register. All the new designs have been painted using DecoArt Traditions Acrylic transformed to the Global Blending technique. The older designs were done with JoSonja acrylics.

A PREVIEW OF MY LATEST DESIGNS FEATURING THE PAINTING METHODS AND TECHNIQUES OF THE FLEMISH, NETHERLANDISH (DUTCH) AND ITALIAN MASTERS. For the past year or so, all of my studio classes here and in our Japanese school, have been based on studying the classical techniques of the Old Masters. The techniques developed by the Van Eyck brothers (Flemish Technique) are the first known that combine both an oil based and water based media (tempra) on a painting with each used in a separate layer. Using TRADITIONS PAINTS mixed for GLOBAL BLENDING, I have been able to nearly duplicate these techniques. This is proving to be quite an exciting journey!

"COACHLIGHT CAPTURE"

These paintings combine the basic steps of the Flemish Masters and the dramatic style of the Italian Master Caravaggio(1571-1610). Caravaggio is credited with developing the chiaroscuro style of painting where the interest area steps out from the dark background into the LIGHT of the foreground. The $50.00 pattern for Coachlight, contains full printed instructions, full sized 26" x 18.5" pattern and 17 color plates. The design can be painted on many different surfaces.

"TUSCAN TRATTORIA" This November seminar project was developed to teach "position in a design". Like stairsteps, the design elements must move back from the forward items in a logical progression and the oval area must look like an inset. Global Blending was used to help create this realistic look.

"THE DVD/CD CABINET COMPLETED" This Pattern (28 by 19 in size) is now avaliable for $50.00.

A "Giclee" print of the underpainted stage of this design is also avaliable for $40.00.
